Just getting started

Hi everyone!

Thanks for stopping by. We decided to create a blog so everyone can stay "in the loop" about our transition to Nairobi. So we will continue to post blogs so friends, family and supporters can see how things are going.
Well, we are expecting baby Christopher Ryan on April 2nd and I (Adrienne) have been stressed about trying to get everything together to make the transition from family with one baby, to family with two babies who are moving out of the country. Fall will be here again before you know it!

Jonathan will be headed to the missions conference in Murrietta from Jan. 7-10th. We're hoping he'll be able to reconnect with friends that we have met in Nairobi. We also have sent in our applications to a few organizations we are hoping to partner with. Shepherd's Staff being one and DSM (Disciple Support Ministries) being the other. Let me tell you a bit about DSM & Shepherd's Staff:
DSM is an awesome organization that we are very hopeful to be a part of. Their focus is training, encouraging, supporting and equipping local pastors to minister to their own people.

Shepherd's Staff is an organization which assists and prepares missionaries to go to their destinations.

We are very hopeful about these organizations and have asked a lot of questions and are excited to be a part of these groups. We'll let you know how things are working out.

Things we need prayer for:

God's timing to be confirmed
Immunizations for Josiah and Christopher
Wisdom about our travels
Family's safety
Prayer for all of the logistics that go along with moving to a new country (housing, expenses, our car)
Confirmation from DSM and Shepherd's Staff
Jonathan's meeting with Paul Cowley in January regarding DSM (Jonathan will be flying into Florida to meet with Mr. Cowley)
And most importantly, above anything else, God's will in our lives. We don't want to go if God's not behind us 100% of the way!

Okay, so that's where we are right now. Thanks so much again for stopping by and checking out what's going on with our crazy family!

"How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written:

“ How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace,
Who bring glad tidings of good things!”" Romans 10:14-15

We love you guys,
Adrienne
